Not sure why I think this way...but I fear relegation this season. I want to feel optimistic, but I look at our squad and tactics..and I think we simply don't have enough. Also our fixtures early on couldn't be worse.

Fear relegation two games in????????????

We played well last week and lost, we played **** this week and drew.

Relegation hasn't even crossed my mind!

Another poor performance from him today.

He's not getting himself in the right positions to run with the ball, and you have to question if his heart is in it?

Not a coincidence that once Ji came on we looked more likely to score. I liked the look of Ji behind Altidore, despite some very odd moments from him. He looked knackered at the end which shows after he missed bits of pre-season he isn't quite fit. Perhaps when he is fit we'll see more good stuff from Ji and less moments of pure ****e

Sess should he dropped for the next couple of games imo. Maybe that'll give him a kick up the arse

i've had it with sess, he can scoot for me now

I know mate. Easy to say that now though after two poor performances, we should remember what he is capable of. On his day he is VERY good

We now no longer need to start him every game with more options and hopefully that will motivate him. Otherwise we can flog him to some Qatari team. All in his hands

Saying that I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him sold before the end of the window

he is no longer the most skillfull player we have ever seen in a sunderland shirt and he knows it, £10m kaching!

a step up from sess is a big step imo, **** him off and lets go!

I'm coming towards the end of my patience with him now I'm afraid. I think it's because we've signed some quality, it makes his bad days look even worse.

So explain how after he went off we reverted to old Sunderland chasing shadows.
The whole team was so so first half.
Second half without Sess we were ****e.

because for me its the same old same old, playing to high up the pitch in a position we dont have.

we cant and never really have been able to accomodate him.

his time is up after we bring in suitable cm replacements imo

I disagree mate. First half we created pretty much nothing from open play Sess should have been driving us forward but I can't remember him driving the ball once

I'm a massive Sess fan but today he was completely ineffective

Second half Ji was much more involved in our play, even if that ultimately lead to a few cock ups from him, but he also set Altidore up with a lovely though-ball and made I good run which lead to a chance he should have scored

I don't know why Sess wasn't involved but he really should be putting himself in positions to get the ball as much as possible

In his 45 minutes Sess played 2 successful forward passes and created one chance, the pass to Giaccherini which he skied. He received the ball on 8 occasions

In Ji's 45 minutes he played 6 successful forward passes and created 3 chances, one being his lovely through ball for Altidore. He received the ball on 20 occasions.

And that was from a quite poor Ji performance.

Sess did nothing but have a negative impact on our performance in the first half. I don't know if his heart isn't in it or he simply is in a bad run of form. But to only get the ball on 8 occasions as our main talisman then somethings definitely wrong imo.

So Sess was given the ball on 8 occasions, that's dreadful for the rest of the team passing wise.
Of those 8 he managed 3 forward passes?
That tells me we weren't getting the ball to him, not that he was crap.

I'm not disputing Ji made a couple of passes but overall he WAS crap, brushed of the ball with ease.
I saw the Wardrobe door chance that he should have done better with, I struggle to recall the other two chances you mention.

To be fair if I played for sunderland I'd be pretty uninterested also.

Cant blame the lad

We are talking about ONE of our players.
You should be more worried about ALL of your players being uninterested and showing how uninterested they are, your team was outclassed by WHU. <ok>
Can't blame them.

Bite.

Seriously though, NUFC are just bigger and better than sunderland .. size, fanbase, finances ect and theres no denying it everyone in sunderland knows that deep down too. Thats why you mackems are generally bitter, angry people. Cant blame them.

Opta stats mate, I know one of the other two was a square ball to Vaughan, which he sliced wide. Can't quite remember what the third was

I know Ji wasn't good, he was still however much more willing than Sess to make himself available for passes, which is why Ji received the ball a significant amount more than Sess. Then Ji layed it off to another attacking player (he played 2 passes to Johnson and 2 to Giaccherini and 3 to Altidore) Ji's 7 passes to his other 3 attackers meant we were able to push up as a unit and threaten more from open play

Sess played a combined total of 4 passes to his other 3 attackers (3 Giaccherini and 1 Altidore, none to Johnson)

Most of Sess' received passes were in the final third which suggests he wasn't dropping deep to collect the ball and instead the team had to push forward without arguably the most key position when it comes to creating chances. Ji on the other hand only received a few in the final third with the large majority coming in the middle, on the right.

Sess was crap today, his lack of willingness to drop deep to collect the ball is undoubtedly the main reason for that

Having talent in one thing but you need to have the right attitude to match the talent and atm Sess doesn't have the attitude.

Ji was better than Sess today and I look forward to seeing a fully fit, confident Ji playing

1) that's not a bite
2) your banter is boring. Bore off (And no that's not a bite either)
