Sunderland are also closing in on a deal for Paris St Germain midfielder Stephane Sessegnon but will abandon plans to sign strikers Jay Bothroyd from Cardiff and Ricardo Fuller from Stoke. (the Times)

iv been told the sessegnon deal is complete, with muntari following today ahead of a double unveiling later today

He's had a great season in the championship, he's a big lad and has some skill to go with it, just the type Quinn was talking about last week.

Cheers. If he can make the step up then I have no complaints. Same with Adel Taarabt, wouldn't he be something if he could replicate his current form at a higher level!

.................long drawn out deals, I'm glad the DB deal went through so quick!! Wonder if that was because they paid over the odds!!!?

As someone mentioned previously, outgoing transfers all seem to go through quickly. It's the incoming ones that drag on and on. The only protracted departure I can recall was Daryl Murphy's loan move, first to Hull then to Ipswich.

Stephane Sessegnon is a big step up. Murari too and it seems Brucy may be interested in the French llad at West ham Perogneon or whatever

Wouldn't be a bad bit of business if he pulls it off

BigChris you said yesterday your source had revelled that there would be a press conferance at 4pm and were still waiting.:emoticon-0149-no:

Lets hope these deals go ahead for Muntari and Sess.:emotion-0155-no.

Chorpa had a great season in the Championship. Total different skill set. Not for me..... Hopefully gone are the days of us signing Championship players. International class is what this clubs all about now. We need to stop looking at the Championship because there's not much quality in it. Sorry to say but true.
