exactly why many fans correct Liverpool fans. Fergie has done and said nothing wrong. Thankfully a few of you know this and have said as much.
As has been explained several times, Fergie didn't say the chant wasn't about Hillsborough. He said that it was a chant that started after the Suarez/Evra incident which is factually correct. He also condemned it, said Gill was very disappointed to hear it and said United as a club would do everything they could to support Liverpool this weekend. You're looking to twist his words because you thrive on the bitterness and hatred and can't bear the thought of the two clubs and sets of fans coming together on this particular issue.
Coincidentally the FA have been criticised by MPs for laxness in tackling discrimination. The lack of black referees, directors and managers is cited, though curiously no mention of Asian players, the lack of which in the pro game was highlighted quite strongly in the recent BBC documentary on racism in football. And these are the people who adjudicated on Suarez behind closed doors. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/sep/18/football-association-parliament-racism
Looks like Terry might get a walkover. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-captain-john-terrys-racism-1330208
