So am I pleased that I went. If we play with the enthusiasm and fire of the second half, I will, even if we go down, say that we tried our best. Thanks, Wizered for changing the thread title.
'I thought Gillett and Pack had very good games That's what I said??' Pack did well - Gillett was utterly useless. Lightweight passenger carried by Pack's running. Never want to see Gillett again in a red shirt.
I couldn't make it last night and after Saturdays offering, was reluctant anyway. I had the commentary on player and thought we were unfortunate to go 1-0 down. 2nd half, left me wondering why we can give the likes of orient a game, but not Sheffield. Surely, we have enough talent to break down a stubborn, 2 lines of 4 approach. Sheffield wont be the only team that adopt that at Ashton gate this season. Its called league 1 and needs quite a scrap to get out of- The commentary seemed to suggest Gillett played well, which only adds to my earlier comment as to why SOD preferred Elliott to Gillett on Saturday. Depends which way you look at it. We have only lost 1 in 7, but still only have 15 points from 18. This includes a haul of only 2 points from our last 3 games. We have only 2 wins in the league, which is the lowest. A team with 46 draws in a season would still go down. The win ratio needs improving, but I hope last night gives us hope that it still can.
I bet his friend is like Balderick, you can just imagine Redprint being the sarcastic Black Adder of the friendship. You only never want to see inch high private eye play again because he's keeping Bambi on ice sorry Elliott out of the team Remember you don't rate Kelly when everyone else can see that he's a definite starter when fit. Idiots the lot of us
Sixtyseconds, you are the most fickle out of all of us... Two days ago you were ready to write SOD, now he is probably GOD again in your eyes. I bet your entire shoe cupboard is filled with flip flops!
No chance in front of the Judge ... Hang him high If you want to waste oxygen checking you will spot enthusiasm in my musings days ago. Go back further you will spot Imention liking the philosophical air of Mr Sean O'Yoda. Sorry don't wear flip flops or them croc things ... Not manly enough.
Redprintt - in the OTIB fanzine I saw that apart from Osborne who has only played 2 games, the player top of the averages was ............................................ Wagstaff Must admit i thought of you!!! Mind you they had JET about 7th so make of that what you will!!
Must admit i thought of you!!! They're children on there and clowns like Monkeh who used to be the old BBC site. He was a keeper one week and midfield the next - obviously played at a high standard ! Daft as a brush. If you want the definitive assessment of City players - they are (out of 10 L1 Standard) Fielding 3 Parish 5 Moloney 8 Flint 5 Williams 8 Osborne 7 Cunningham 8 Shorey 5 Reid 8 Bryan 8 Pack 7 Elliott 7 Gillett 1 Wagstaffe 2 Baldock 8 Jet 9 Harewood 2 Taylor 5 Manager SOD MINUS 10.
RP, you are being very generous to some. Shorey for instance as an ex England player ha a minus score in my book. And I think you are being very hard on Wagstaff. But it would be strange if we all agreed.
I think you have been a bit generous to Cunningham and Moloney (6 for me for both) and a bit harsh on Wagstaff (6 as well) and Gillett/Harewood who do not have many minutes on the pitch
My verdict Fielding 5 Parish 6 Moloney 7 Flint 7 Williams 8 Osborne 7 Cunningham 8 Shorey 5 Reid 7 Bryan 7 Pack 7 Elliott 6 Gillett 6 Wagstaffe 7 Baldock 8 Jet 9 Harewood 5 Taylor 4 Manager SOD 5
