Whilst I have every faith in the players that we have (We've scored 111 goals under Adkins remember!), the only reason I'm slightly wary is that we've been trying to sign a new striker since January from when we went in for Mackail-Smith - and we've been unsuccessful, even though we've bid way over the odds for players like Sharp and Rodriguez which kind of shows how keen we are to add to the strike force... However, Sharp has only played 50 minutes of 540+ minutes of league football this season, his injury woes aren't exactly a secret and £3.25m is a lot for a player who won't neccesarily be playing regular football for you. Whilst Rodriguez is still yet to score in the league for Burnley. Neither are a great loss to us, and If I had the choice I would prefer for us to sign one of Sordell, Emnes or Maynard... But I don't feel it's essential like you seem to. It'd just give us a massive advantage. I do think Barnard is more likely to go down than not though - being a footballer, and someone in the limelight the courts'll want to set an example of him... But as long as Lambert, Lallana, Connolly and Guly can keep themselves injury free we'll be absolutely fine - let's face it, who actually thought that 6 games into the season Conners would still be fit as fudge?
