Top 6 can be caught top 4 will not be caught by any NE team. Spending money well will get you a European place probably via a lucky cup run. Liverpool will drop into the top 6 and will get overtaken by Everton who, in my opinion are not a great team but have a great team spirit. That is what SAFC need to push on and get a top ten finish at least, our friends up the road have the spirit which has carried them onwards and upwards and coupled with some decent players could get them a top ten finish next year.

This season I genuinely think we have a better squad on paper than the mags....on paper. We have two top class goalkeepers and both of them are still young. Bardsley has been our player of the season with Bramble also looking immense at the back until he got injured a little while ago. I've heard one or two people saying steed should go but he has been our best midfielder in recent weeks and was truly awesome to watch earlier in the season. Sessegnon has shown flashes of what he can do but it's extremely difficult for him coming to a much higher standard of league when the rest of the team is performing so badly. Henderson looked quality on the wing earlier in the season and Cattermole was really starting to impress me but his performance the other day was his worst in red and white. Then you get to Asamoah. Flair, skill, energy and a top class work rate means he can be a game changer. On Saturday he ran and ran and ran but was fed on less than scraps.

Basically as I say, on paper we have a better squad but the Newcastle players play for the team and are hungry to win. Our players just don't seem up for it. I've never seen a team look so relaxed in 90+ minutes when they are a goal down. Baffling. With confidence I think we already have a squad to challenge for a top 8 place but it doesn't matter how good your squad is, you'll get nowhere if the team don't put the effort in.

One win. If we just get that one win then I have the feeling we'll go onto win another couple. If not then we deserve to go down...

If you combined the determination of N*wcastle with the players and structure of Sunderland, no doubt you would get a team consistently in the top 10, at the very least.

Despite the failings of both teams, there's still a chance of both teams finishing in the top 10.
