Personally I think he was ‘persuaded’ to sign , did so then realised it was a wrong move . His family may not be happy so whilst I think he wants to do it he can’t motivate himself . It’s a bit like waiting for redundancy in say 6 months time maybe. Yes I know he’s well paid but maybe he’s not that mentality . It’s not even cold yet!!

Lazy useless not interested Seri.... he simply should start and we will control more games. The hard working English bias trope needs to be left in the dust.
Being English has nothing to do with it , Slater is too small but decent in a decent positive side but very negative in this team. I think Seri needs to play from the start and have players around him and control the ball - too many have very limited ball control - BUT he is ponderous and gets surrounded easily - stats lie if you play 10 yd passes most if the time your ratios are gonna be high
agree, he took a long time to finally sign for City. It was on/off & Acun probably made him an offer he couldn't refuse & now he is realising the reality of moving from London to Hull & playing in a team already at the wrong end of the table. Be very surprised if he is still at City by end of Jan (how many of the other 15 players that came in over the summer will also be gone ?)
He probably didn't have to do much of either at Fulham where he was surrounded by much better players than he is now. To me he seems a luxury player but not someone who is going to dig you out of a hole
He also won the ball more and made more tackles in half an hour on the field. We also looked dangerous as those two key passes one of them should have led to a goal. He should start every game so we can control it. I seriously think he needs to start alongside Ozan, we have no control and no one else can get the ball under control. Slater chases shadows and is always slowing down movements forward.
Oh and doesn't actually win the ball all that much either despite everyone championing that. There's a reason one has played UCL footy and the other cost 50k.
I suggest you have a look at footage of the Swansea game, Seri’s performance there was revealing.
Seri is a player to build your team round
it’s the managers job to come up with a plan for that
this is what needs to happen Chazz, I firmly believe any first rate manager will come in and do just that.
I would play him much further up the field. I’d probably allow someone like Jones to sit in front of the back 4 and then have Seri with Tufan central in a 4141 formation. Have one wide midfielder more workmanlike and the other creative.
Have we ever made a successful signing from Fulham? Another Bullard? Now getting Cairney back would have been a better fit.
I really like Seri. His quick, forward thinking passes are a joy to watch. The problem is, the players around him aren’t as quick in thought. He definitely needs to play higher up the pitch though. For the next game, I would go:

i like that team, Tufan and Pelkas should definitely be on his wavelength. You can definitely see Slater/Coyle/Elder/Jones struggling with it…
Correct. At this present time he has not had chance to play with players who will compliment him often enough.
For me he needs to play with Doc and Tufan.
