I sometimes speak to people from all over the country on work related stuff, and over the years I've got to know some of them quite well (and met some face to face at meetings and stuff). One of the guys who I've met a couple of times, and speak to by phone/E mail is a guy called Bryan a keen Sky Blues fan and season ticket holder, we've always had a laugh and a bit of banter................until today.

His exact words

"Don't speak to me unless it's work related, you lot mugged us for two of our best players (Turner and Gunnarsson) and I no longer wish to speak to you"

OK he MAY have been joking, but he sounded very bitter.

The irony of it............being sent to Coventry by a Coventry fan ;)

If Parkin had decided to join them you would have had that "don't speak to me..." speech via email :D

If he means it he's not with being friendly with. I have a big QPR mate with whom I work. . . I know. . . but it's football not a piece of land.

The wife is from Cov and she hates the place. I drove through the center once, what a grim place it is.
On the subject of fans. I once had a Saints fan as a colleague and he was a complete tool. He kept on about how hard he was and how the Saints would come to dominate British football. It was with more than a wry smile that I watched him when they plummeted down the leagues. He went from being an obnoxious arse to a timid mouse over the course of two seasons. In fact he was almost pleasant to talk to when they'd hit their lowest ebb.
Hate to think what he's like now with the Saints clambering back up the league.

Sounds as if we picked the best of the bunch Proph. Realise it may have been a bad bunch but fans are a fair indication as to the quality of a player.

I think Coventry will struggle this season.

TO think that Coventry were, along with Arsenal, for a while, the longest survivors in the top division. but it really is a terrible dump.

I work with a Watford fan, he isn't very happy since we pinched a couple of players and their manager, he thought our new kit was going to be red, yellow and black!
