No not really. Michael Schumacher could be considered one of the best racing drivers of all time. But a saint he most certainly ain't.
Depends on how the word great is used. Personally I don't think he meant great in terms of Jesus for example- I think he meant greatest racing driver. But if he did then I accept your point. I, then, haven't said he was a saint, but it doesn't stop me from lamenting over the loss of a great talent. I'm not saying he was a great man, in fact I did say that the film makes Prost look like a villain, but he wasn't ordinary.
In my opinion he is. He was so fast and he always pushed to the limit. Some of the laps I have seen him do where unbelievable. He is no saint, but a Legend.
