I think Briggs can play both centre back and left back but I'm pretty sure left back is his ideal role.
Evening, Bandy. Before he got into the firsts against Port Vale, I had never heard of Briggs mentioned as anything other than a centre-back. He can do a job at full-back (he had a good game that night, as I recall) but that's not what he's used to or, I think, his ideal role. Centre back is his natural position, the position that he's most experienced in and, long-term, the one where he is most likely to make an impact for us.
Centre back is his preferred role but we needed someone to fill at left back and Briggs does quite a decent job there too. You need utility men and Briggs is perfect for that. As is Chris Baird.
Well considering Senderos and Halliche are both vying for centre back spots themselves, I presume MH would deplog Briggs in the left back role.
You're not alone there haha. I'm so glad he got a chance in the cup against a lower league side to show us how awful he really is.
Spoke to several Arsenal supporters, their comments were that he seemed a bit of a light weight for the "PREM",allways seemed to knocked off the ball, and quite often went off with some injury or other. No wonder he was on a free.
