its clickbait bullshit becasue, the club discussing what went right or wrong is not as interesting as, selles is fighting for his job is it.
I can’t see who would come in that is a level above Selles. Top managers wouldn’t come as we don’t have a war chest and Acun sticks his nose in too much.
And they know they've got 6 months or less to deliver - bonkers that we are even considering changing manager yet again
Done on here believe when it fits and slaughter it when it doesn’t , usually when negativity can be created - it’s a mental state .
But we had this last year too. Rosenior was 'only a bad decision if the replacement is bad', but then no one had heard of Walter so of course we all gave him the benefit of the doubt. Then when it turned out over time that he was crap, some people said ah well maybe it's the players that are spineless etc etc. The people who were right from day one that the initial sacking was stupid were never acknowledged as being so, and now we're on the verge of doing it all again and giving it the same "wait and see" caveat as last time.
I think the way the club have gone about this post-season has been really shoddy. We survived relegation and that should’ve been a huge relief to supporters, players and the head coach but now we’re all wondering about the coach’s future, despite doing what he was brought in to do. If Sellés is sacked it backs the club into a corner regarding who we bring in next. A lot of coaches will side-eye the club as they won’t want to work for a fickle egomaniac that sacks head coaches on a whim. They want job security and the opportunity to help build something.
Agree - even if this speculation is local media bullshit - the Club could have done more to control the narrative and allow the support to feel (and enjoy) the relief. This just feels like a tortuous continuation of the cluster **** of a season.
Can't be true. GFAW has been telling us it's bollocks for the last 2 days and posting little laughing emoji's.
Football management is changing as well isn’t it? That merry go round of managers that did the rounds 10-15 years ago have started to not get work. The trend now is to find a progressive manager and stick with him - until things go wrong and then you tweak it and try again.
I just listened to the 1904 podcast... Pruts literally put out Gerrard as a name for good or exciting managers available! **** me!
reported by Mike White, rubbished by Baz who has actually confirmed on yesterday's 1904 club that Selles is not certain to keep his job.
I tend to think you are right but it's disrespectful to allow the speculation to rumble on especially after he stopped us getting relegated.
