I was told he was selling up for sure in the summer so I’m surprised we’ve sacked Selles, he’s clearly staying.
I know one who recently became available.. You keep carrying on about this settled team rubbish but I'm sure if he'd stuck to an XI you'd screech that he has no plan B.
It's just not important. I'm more bothered about the interesting questions, like do you piss with balls in or out?
im concerned it might be philip cocu and the more i think about it, the more he ticks every box of acuns
It was bollocks about whether Musk is a Nazi, which posters are lefties and a poster repeatedly calling another poster 'sweetie'.
I was making the point that Acun sacked a manager that on another season would have made the play offs with the points total we had - so clearly he wasn’t a bad manager - not that he’d have made the play offs with this squad. Same with Selles, he’d proved himself to be a safe pair of hands at the very least in a year when the squad was anything but. Context is key when analysing our last two managers. Sadly Acun lacks it and can’t see beyond ‘we didn’t score enough’.
Missed a fair few pages here but I still see posts where people say now we've got rid of the manager that'll be another summer of squad churn... One of our biggest problems is the squad churn, but it doesn't matter who the manager is or if we have even one in place for that to happen, and it'll continue to happen regardless. For me that's the most worrying thing about the club at the minute. The manager has little to no say on who we sign. We could sack a manager mid window and it'd make no difference to our targets and actions. It's really not a good system.
Outside the top three, and even then this may not include Burnley, there is barely a single team that plays attractive attacking football. Everyone give or take favours a safety first approach, try to score from set pieces or nick one in the break approach. This makes it so difficult without parachute payments to play an open attacking style as without prem standard players you'll just get picked off easily. Pretty much every home game this year I've been to was just the same as the one before, away teams come, defend deep deny us space and we didn't have the class to break them down most of the time, away from home we employed the exact same approach, and it was largely successful for us too. I suspect Acun just doesn't see this or doesn't care, but trying to create an all action team on our budget isn't happening
if one wants to watch exciting attacking football its best to get a sky subscription basically or have a squad like leeds
