Despite everyone acknowledging we had a decent squad at the close of the summer transfer window that was then added to in the January window, we’ve been outplayed by teams like Oxford and Portsmouth on much smaller budgets. Our home record continued to be abysmal and I believe we only won one of the recent 6 pointers. The team mostly only went on the front foot after going behind. And he constantly plays square pegs in round holes rather than change the formation of the team to suit the players he has at his disposal.
can we correct you there? millar and belloumi, our biggest signings were both out for every single second of selles reign first of so thats mute secondly our two best signings in jan matazo and barry, were out after 4 games so thats what, 15m+ of transer fees, useless and unavailable now suddenly we have zero pace in the team, literally, we have no players in the squad with any pace or directness changing formation how? give an example
Er, no. They sunk like a stone and were almost relegated. My point being telling players they won't be here next season isn't unique to us.

Constantly playing non wingers as wingers ( Gelhardt, Lincoln, Joseph and Burstow) instead of going up top with two central strikers. Kamara, Giles and Dremeh all capable of playing as wing backs, but Giles got shipped out and Dremeh hasn’t got a look in other than to be played out of position.

There wasn't the same coverage of football back then so scrutiny isn't the same as now, but from what I saw/remembered he was a solid and somewhat underrated GK. Think he was on the cusp of the England squad at one point - at a time when there was a lot of competition.

No one would have been surprised today if Portsmouth scored a scruffy goal With 5 minutes to go. It wouldn’t have been unlucky. It would have been consistent with our tenure under Selles so far. He’s not a bad coach but he hasn’t lived up to his expectation. I.e. if he could get a tune out of Reading with no budget, what could he do at a bigger club? Well… he’s got a tune out of our players too. Just a crap one in terms of excitement or any sort of positivity.
