Hey all, me and my mate are now self employed plasterers, and due to a holiday coming up and to afford our expensive life styles we are now looking for work, just wondering if anyone here needs any plastering done or if you know someone who needs it just leave a message.

Cheers

Being a ex plasterer myself, done my training for a year or so, then came the recession in the late 80's, then got a damaged nerves in my hand so never really took off, but do know that is not a easy job.

Good luck with your enterprise hope it all works out for you

shiny, where were you the other day! my mate has a broken leg and his cast got wet and needed a new one. we could of used your services to plaster him up ;)

i'll grab my coat <whistle>

Not one to put a downer on things, but expensive lifestyle and plasterer do not belong in the same sentance :undecided:

I guess your other half is on a decent wage?

Really? you seem to be doing an ok job to me!

I'll keep an eye out for you shiny but would need to see your work first.

I would love to have my house house top to bottom plastered especially to get rid of the chip board ceilings the previous owner had (when we took the polistiren tiles off but I will have to wait another few years until the wife is a qualified nurse and we two incomes to cover bills and do up house. I would also love double glazing and central heating all things I took for grantage many years ago when I lived with my parents.

I did look around before and there are local college now offering part time courses and given the prices I guess people are now going through that route rather than pay someone else to do it given the prices.

we got a website on the way ill post it up when its done, got 2 kitchen jobs lined up so i'll take a few pics and put it on the website

Put a message on Facebook as well mate,

Also try things like LinkedIn and put cards up in home base, B&Q places like that.

Plumbers know where water damage properties are, so tap into them! No pun intended.

As I said before good luck

Erm, if anyone needs a will I can do that for them on the cheap ;)

Not the most exciting thing to spend money on though I though I agree :P

Good Luck on the job front Shiny. Keep your eye on the ASDA situation, they are building large numbers of stores.
Remenber, 43,000 Gas heads went to Wembley, so they are about locally. Try offering some pale blue plaster instead of that 'orrible pale pink stuff and you never know your luck.

Again Good Luck!
