It's ****e init. Spend most of my time on another forum and Twitter. Not worth the full attention it used to get.

Keep see you when you get back mate. You've got my mobile number, :)

I sensed that it was more than football.

Whatever you're going through remember it's only temporary. Ther will always be light in the future

By all means have a time out Tees, but us optimistic realists cannot afford to have you away too long.

With a two week break we should be over the hump and the season will really take off.

Don't be too long mate, just ignore the miserable twats and focus on the positives, a win will change everyone's spirits and it isn't far from coming. The signs are good.

I enjoy watching Sunderland, love going to the games and always have a laugh ........ not always the case on here.

It's just a bit tedious seeing the same responses and 'banter' time and again.

Almost everything is met with 'typical Sunderland' comments and negative comments.

Like Tees has said, boards like this are supposed to be a laugh.

Can understand your sentiments as I have been there a hundred times but from long experience let me say it is impossible to give up, it is a drug, and in reality has a lot more effect on our day to day than it should have, the worst for me was when I heard the pricks booing in the Boro game

I'm probably one that Tees was on about.
    I'm naturally very pessimistic.
Whether it's to do with football, relationships, kids, life in general, I tend to look on the black side.
Prepare for the worst scenario if you like.
Sure I like a laugh, a drink, a bit carry on.
I'm not a morose, morbid person it's just the way I deal with things.
Think of the worst possible outcome in any walk of life & anything better than that is a bonus.
It's saved me a lot of heartache in the past.

Herbie and Bert are lifelong NUFC fans, each the best man at the other's wedding, and Well-Known Members on not606. But, Herbie and Bert have long since retired, and while attending a match at St. James Park, they make a pact. Who ever goes first must somehow get word back to the survivor as to whether or not there is football in heaven. Well you know how these things sort out, and having tempted fate Bert experiences a fatal erection midweek. Herbie soldiers on alone, in attendance at the next home match at St. James Park. Once the raucous away fans settle after Defoe scores his third goal of the match, "Herbie" is being flashed over and over on the 60 metre LED screen. The other 52,403 fans appear oblivious to the message. Then Herbie hears a familiar voice, "Herbie, I've got news, some good, some bad: Sure enough, there is football in heaven...but you're playing RB next Saturday.

Don't mind a bit of negativity if some thought is going into it. I'm a man of a balance after all. But I'm sick to death of 'this is Sunderland we're talking about' & 'Typical sunderland' It seems it's just sentences for people to right us off without having to put a single thought into an opinion. Detest the two terms and it's common as muck.

Place is going right down the pan. No thought anywhere, just people talking to each other, answering in cliché' after cliché. The banter is the worst it's ever been.

We have an unwritten rule when we're going to the match and have done for decades from when I ran the Mansfield coach to the present day.

No matter what's going on in people's lives, however hungover they are, whatever state the team's in we're always the same.

We know that we all have an effect on each other and spirits are easily raised or dampened.

So everyone puts in a 'good performance' and the day is always a good one, whatever happens on the pitch.

The negativity on here, along with the cringing 'banter' with the Mags and constant clichés brings things down imo.

Commenting on anything positive, hoping for the best or even going to the games is sometimes mocked.

Being miserable rubs off on people and I don't post that often because I'm a naturally chirpy & optimistic bloke.

This place needs new blood. Simple as that..

The pool has got smaller and many who do remain post less and we just seem to go round and round in circles because it's the same crowd with the same point of view.

Nowt against anyone here but ****ing hell we need fresh input.
