To those pundits, me included, who thought that because we hadn't taken too many big beatings this season our goal difference would be good can all smile :emoticon-0102-bigsm Goal difference prevented us from being the worst club in the division; what a stigma that would have been.

However, there are green shoots of revival (sic); just read MJ's comments on yesterday.......

"This is all our players are capable of - which doesn't look good for the future. It's good to be finishing on a positive rather than a negative today.

"I've learnt a lot this season in a difficult situation - and I'll be better for that moving forward. You don't get taught any of this on a management course - you have to learn and learn quickly. Ultimately we haven't scored enough goals to keep us in the division."

Well, where does one start:
He's clearly motivational!
He's learnt a lot....so have we!
He'll be better.......enough said, surely he could't be worse!
We didn't score enough goals......well, that's about the standard of a MOTD pundit.

Back to gardening for my daughter at least she has a plan.....and I have to execute it!

I would quite happily do away with the manager's interviews completely as they are just so much piffle. The simple truth is that the players and both managers have not been good enough this season - we do not need to be told what we have seen with our own eyes for the last nine months.

Jackson's interviews are so off-putting because he seldom remains still and hardly ever addresses the camera. The word "squirming" comes to mind.
