Personally from reading it, it seems like your trying to say you think rangers fans should stop singing the song because you'll get in trouble and anyway Celtic are just as bad if not worse.

Well whether Celtic fans are as bad or worse is irrelevant.

Whether Rebel is a hypocrite or not is irrelevant.

The reason your club gets in trouble and our club does not is because you dont understand why you get in trouble in the first place. The reason you get fined and we dont is because you only take action after punishment to avoid more punishment - not because you realise its wrong.

And so it will continue......... but i dont expect you to accept my view opinion....afterall its MY opinion.

I've tried for years on here (606) to show rangers fans that your anti - everything (mainly anti irish) belief will get you in trouble. Trouble is you dont listen. Celtic are not without fault, i cringe at all the rebel ****e (im an irish republican to boot) but being pro something is a whole lot different that being anti - something.

Like them or or loath them, the IRA they are an accepted organisation. the good friday agreement saw all them convicted IRA members be freed from jail remember. Technically still illegal to be a member, but given they are a disbanded organisation i doubt you'd be jailed for belonging to a group that is disbanded. So if you'll not get in trouble for claiming to be a member of the IRA you'll not be in trouble for singing a song in praise of the same grouping.

Now i take your point - i can see how British people may be offended by people singing about the IRA, therefroe its distasteful to sing it - and we should stop it! I hope we do. but just cuz its offensive alone doesnt mean we'll be fined. Like it or loath it this is why. most importantly it has **** all to do with the football and we have plenty of football songs to sing

i dont like the songs being sung either - im glad we dont. Im glad that mid 90s my club made moves to ban this out of fear it might lead to trouble (10 years before you lot were punished). So even though technically we did nothing wrong we tried to move on of our own back

Being anti everything Celtic fans support ( as above meaning mainly anti irish) will lead to continued trouble for you. you can try and laugh it off as anti plastic paddy (plastic paddy could itself be considered as offensive mind you) but its wrong. IN this day and age you cant get away with it - laugh or not

This is what you need to understand before you stop being fined and getting into trouble.

For if you fail to understand this then you'll continue to get banned and fined and ask why we dont.

YOu might stop singing the famine song and the Billy boys, but you'll just move on to make up a new one - as you do not understand why you get in trouble!!!!!!! your mindset has to be to think before you first sing the songs, not after you are threatened

You need to also realise that despite the fact that when Smith sang the songs 50 years ago and rangers werent punished it wasnt because it has suddenly become illegal, its always been wrong to sing anti irish songs - you just werent punished. Same as once upon a time it wasnt illegal to have a slave - it has always been wrong though

I was at Ibrox last week v DU and Sean Dillon and Jon Daly were not subjected to any sectarian singing from what I can remember. I watched the Rangers against St Mirren at the weekend and didn't here any sectarian singing, so if it's so readily available to you, point it out to me.

When Celtic fans sing Orange Bastard, let there be no doubt, that they are refering to his Protestant Backround. Just like if a Rangers fan sings Dirty Fenian Bastard, although Fenian isn't a religion, they are refering to someones Catholic backround.

So, going by your logic of outright denial, Rangers fans don't sing bigotted songs, as I've never heard anyone ever sing, **** the Irish or **** the Catholics.

Though, I'm not an ignoramus and know what both supports sing to get their points across, but then again songs don't upset me.

I've got a client, who's Celtic daft, he's got seats at Parkhead, his sons are called Liam and Shay, he isn't a lapsed Catholic like many, and he gave us about £700k woth of work last year, I have a supplier, who's a Celtic man, and I've probable spent £500k with him in the past 2 years.

My best mate is a Celtic fan.

My wife is a ex-Celtic fan.

All her family are Tims.

My daughters best pal is a Catholic and she sometimes goes to Church with her on a Sunday.

Does this look like a sectarian society to you?

Why don't you use your time usefully and try and heal the sectarian divide that exists in your country instead of sticking your nose into our buisness.

IMO we have bigger problems with knife-crime, drinking too much and child poverty than this small issue of bad songs getting sung at football grounds.

1. "**** your pope and the IRA." - So, the Pope is to get ****ed and the IRA. Well the reference to the IRA obviously isn't anti-Irish or anti-Catholic. The reference to the Pope is wrong, and we'll need to eradicate that. But again, the Pope is an individual person and I doubt if he is offended by that. Also from 2007.

2. "Billy Boys" - This is actually an Old Glasgow gang song, sung origanally in the 30's when a Protestant gang from Brigeton whose leader was Billy Fullerton used to fight with Cathlolic gangs. Again, not anti-Irish, and going by your logic of Orange, Fenian isn't a sect either, so not sectarian either,

You haven't proved that thousands break the law every week. The famine song is sung infrequently, it's certainly not sung every week. the same with the other songs that supposedly offend you.

The clips you show demostrate hundreds, not thousands singing these songs.
