I doubt Chambers will break through. He's have to displace Clyne and I've not seen anything to suggest he will, nor have I heard anything from anyone who would know. Isgrove has a better chance but I'm not convinced he'll be more than a squad player.

Chambers is a good little player and will only improve in time. Replace Clyne? Probably not, certainly not in the next few years. Chambers will provide him with far more competition then we have had before and of course we get to see another talent that has come through our academy.

The reason I say none is pretty much what Dan said. We're going to have the likes of Isgrove and Chambers in the squad, and they'll get some games, but they won't be particularly surprising. They'll just be decent squad players like they have been in our friendlies.

The only one I can think of is maybe Jordan Turnbull will exceed expectations.

Chambers is better then you think.

Yeah I have to say I'm impressed with Chambers' development. He might not replace Clyne but I'm certainly not worried about him being back up. He's also looked good in pre-season and MP is obviously quite interested in him.

"Possibly, in a few seasons" doesn't particularly sound like a great breakout candidate. Also, Clyne's what, 21/22? Pretty safe bet to say he's not hit his peak yet.

Right, but we're talking about this season aren't we?

I know that or I would have said voted Chambers in the poll(voted no one). I just took by your first post you and dan thought of him as average. But I agree with you about this season .

I think Chambers will be a little star...even if his game time is limited. Any news on Clyne btw. Don't see how anyone can vote Ramirez....it would surely be more of a surprise if a quality player like him did badly...not a surprise if he does well.

I watched a couple of games last season at Eastleigh and Staplewood and Calum looked calm and very good. I think he will do enough to push Clyne and get some game time.

Lloyd Isgrove could be the type that could get thrown on to try to change a game when needed if he keeps improving.

Nobody that I know knew how good Luke was until desperation called and he started.

He was always very highly spoken of, I think we all knew he was touted as our next big youth player, was certainly held in higher regard than Chambers and Isgrove, which is no knock on them.

Think Lloyd isgrove will suprise many, he's pacy and good crosser of the ball and chambers will be a vey solid player when he plays won't do anything special but will just be that type of player every team needs, reliable and solid.

Yeah I was saying about Shaw at the start of last season. Our academy is crazy good.
