Not at all Mick. Never tried them but I can only imagine what they taste like. Few years back, when my brother was across, for a laugh we got a can of Carlsberg Special Brew, we had one sip each and thought ****ing hell, like ****ing treacle, still it was ok back in the day when you were an underager!!
Yes, when you were under age and didn't have much money, any old ****e would do. Special Brew and Vodka. Ah, the halcyon days.
It was cheap and put it this way: when in my 20s I moved on to buying cheap Italian wines like Soave and Frascati, I moved a few rungs up the social ladder.
There used to be a greengrocers in Restalrig Road run by a foreign gentleman where you could take in your old juice bottles and get them refilled with cheap vino! Oh happy, happy days; make Leith great again!
I hardly drink at all these days, no real reason to be honest. Beer and only beer if I have anything at all. I used to love my wine though. Red or white. Couldn't stand rose or sparkling though. Champagne is utter ****, in my opinion. I agree with Aldo, never trust a **** that doesn't drink.
