I wouldn’t say I support them just keep an eye on them. Don’t mind seeing them do well. That sort of thing.
I'm in with the Besiktas boys around here. We play cards and drink their ****ty teas now and again. I wouldn't ever fancy going over to watch a match live with them, though. I'm not a fan of Turkey with the way it is now under Erdogan. Agreed about the Dutch football. Brilliant day and very cheap too. Tickets to watch Vitesse are only 15 euro and they run a free bus service from the City Centre to the ground which is a nice touch. Atmosphere is always brilliant and I like the way that there's a token system within the football stadium. That works much better than cash as the service is way quicker so you ain't hanging about in queues. Being a Sunderland supporter I'm supposed to support Feyenoord because of our relationship with them, but you can't help who you fall in love with.
Mrs RCL is a Wednesday fan so I keep an eye on their results. Took her to a few Wednesday matches v Charlton before they died on their feet.
Since promotion from league one I've always had a soft spot for Walsall as their fans were class on the final day when they stayed up too. Always looked at Bournemouths results too as a local club.
I like all my local clubs and keep an eye out for Rangers Bees and Fulham scores. Nowhere else in world are there four pro clubs so close together
I don’t have a second team, But I’ll look out for Coventry’s result, And I keep an eye on United players put on loan as well.
Swansea City. Lived in Swansea for 25 years and have got season tickets at the Liberty, I take my two sons. I currently get a lot more enjoyment out of that than watching United, although Swansea can't seem to score anymore so that's becoming ****e too.
The whole of Coventry could go out of existence and no one would realise until the London-Birmingham train arrived without any Lonsdale-clad mutants.
Coventry is the one thing I never held against Hitler and his men. Scruffy pigs, I hate them as much as the mags.
They sent us down once, not that I can remember it but I’m told I was there. You must be a big fan of Mickey Quinn.
They cheated us when Jimmy the chin had them. It was the last game of the season and they delayed their kick off 15 minutes so they could check on our score. Once our game had finished, Coventry knew that a draw would keep them safe and they announced it over the speakers so the players would know that. Both teams then turned the game into a farce for the last 15 minutes by passing the ball to each other and having no attempts on goals. Scummy bastards.
Trains were scandalous when I looked- £85 or so return and I’m on the way there from London. It’s a new ground for me on my half-arsed quest to do the 92 which is the main reason I’m bothering but not a bad drive. 160 miles or so mostly straight down the M4. If we play the formation which clearly suits almost all of our players it will be a good game. If we play the one McLaren has now adopted to accommodate both our big wage loan signings, it won’t be.
