Dyslexic....... it is not fraud as you describe the actions of Jen. The reason it is not fraud is because Jen wasn't asked to pay the whole amount and then state she is a student. If the lady asked if she was and she replied yes then you could argue Jen gained a pecuniary advantage but it still ain't fraud. You are not bound by law to correct a mistake made when a person makes an error in discharging a debt. There are exceptions but this isn't one of them. It is also debatable whether SFC could actually demand further payment although there could be a time frame in which they can ask for retribution for the difference. I do not know the difference in payment at a guess though one wouldn't have thought it would have been in their interest cost wise especially as she would have a case of challenge.
Saint Lambden, you might get away with it if you renew before the 4th August as they might just check your age at the time of purchase rather than your age at the start of the season. The purchase taking place before your birthday might be enough as it doesn't actually state anywhere that it is age at start of season (that I can see) Good luck anyway
Optimistic by name optimistic by nature.....This year it is very unlikely you will get away with it so I wouldn't rely on it. I am past the age of retirement and do not flatter myself that I look any younger. However I had to produce my driving licence that showed my D.O.B to prove my age. so I would think he will look at your birthday which they probably have on line anyway if you are renewing. So it will not take long for them to work it out. Missing it by a few day's is what I called a real bummer!!
*The other thread was closed, so apologies for starting afresh, but checking info here.* Am I correct in understanding that to buy a season ticket for my 10 year old son, I have to travel from Northampton to proof his age despite the fact that when he first became a Junior Saint I had to confirm his dob then with proof? Blimey, do their computers not retain info and add a year to ages every 12 months? Sorry Guys my fault big fingers little Brain last night Beddytare
I believe that for phone orders you provide proof of age when you collect your ST from box office. So you order as usual but they don't send it out, you have to collect on 1st matchday.
Couldn't find a buyer for my kidney (apparently the market's flooded). Anyone want to buy a b*ll*ck? I never use the left one.
Yes you can however if it requires you to produce some ID then they will not post your ST. You have to go and collect it in a couple of weeks with your Id then they let you have the ST..........
I was replying specifically to the question asked by 'saint'. To clarify I think you can get a junior concession if you don't pass the age barrier until after start of season, but will miss out if the right age at time of purchase but the wrong age by the Leeds game. It's always worth a try though. Sadly, I now have to wait 4 years to get the concession I had last year.
Hang on...... So if you just want to buy a season ticket and don't fall into any of the reduction brackets you still have to show proof?!
No, you only need to provide evidence of DoB if you are getting a ticket at a concessionary rate. For an adult season ticket, you can order over the phone and have it posted to you or purchase over the counter - either way no age ID required.
