I think he meant (in fact he did mean) the first PL season this time around. I'm not sure Tom was with even then... a twinkle in his Dad's eye, maybe.
It's a pity that some are disrespectful of their fellow Saints fans, particularly when they have never met them and know nothing of their circumstances. People have to make their own judgement about what tickets to buy when. Anyone buying a ticket is a supporter. Anyone who cannot afford one is still a fan to my way of thinking, if they care about Saints. For the record I renewed mine a couple of weeks back. Does that make me a better supporter? Absolutely not. I can afford the cost so it's an easier decision for me and perhaps that makes me a plastic? Pah
Spot on CF. I spent several years not being able to go to games, because I played on Saturdays and when I could go, we had a ground with a 15,000 capacity and no chance of a ticket. It is about what suits people.
They sound the same as me - to make this worse, my parents weren't football fans so I rarely got to go. I was stuck to the radio every Saturday to follow matches Sorry; I just know that the guys around me are old enough to have savings to be able to afford their tickets & I know I'm a big saver, so I should hopefully have enough to buy again once I hit my 40s or so (by that time I'll hopefully be getting multiple tickets in the family stand...) Yeah, that's what I'm planning this year - making decisions on a game by game basis
Having sampled Saints when there has been 20,000 odd and a near-full house I think the latter creates a better atmosphere!!
