You do'nt become a multi millionaire by looking at the short term profit either and not looking at the big picture.Like I say I'm not saying that that is the plan but without seasons tickets city could double the gate money next season that they recieve, they could bump up prices to say 30 quid a game and charge away fans that too. It's a gamble of course because if we are playing crap then attendances will plummet but if we do well and hover round the top six all season that could mean an extra 5 million in the bank from ticket sales, just saying like
1/6th of the season ticket money is VAT. That needs paying within 3 months of completing the sale. Any season ticket bought using a credit card the club doesn't receive a penny until October or November time. That more than slightly throws the cashflow out of the window.
