Your rant wasn't just about last night, you told us we'd need good luck until 'we meet again in november'.

We know your more obsessed with Rodgers than Swansea and you can't wait to see him fail, but you're getting very repetative Tw.

Nothing tops my Swansea City obsession.
If you've been listening carefully you will have noted that a lot of what I forewarned you lot of has come to pass,
but if you're sick of hearing from me fair enough.
Will be back for our game in a few weeks.

We need a MINIMUM of two out-and-out (not creative like suarez, but clinical) strikers in January. Agree we could also use a decent attacking midfielder, too.

A lot of people talking of a striker coming in in Jan. What if he gets injured? Back to square one! We need two clinical (not necessarily fancy, we create enough!) strikers just so we have options. So to reiterate, two strikers and an attack-minded midfield player are the minimum inputs needed in Jan, for me.

  5. Won't happen <ok>

Rodgers doesn't like players that do one thing, he wants players that are flexible and able to interchange - aka Barcelona style <ok> We may well get player(s) that can play on the wing and up top, or an alternative to Suarez who can play any of the front four positions, but we won't get a striker / goal poacher, I guarantee it <ok>

I understand what you're saying and what system BR is trying to implement, but we simply don't get enough goals from midfield to do that at the minute, unfortunately. Even the Spanish national team looked better (and scored more goals) when Torres or Villa were used as 'target men' (not tall, but you know what I mean, a focus to spearhead the attack). Suarez is a striker and he's getting the vast majority of our goals. I appreciate we are a work in progress, as it were, and it'll take time for wins to come regularly, but if we don't bring in some goal scorers (strikers or midfield players) in January it'll become vicious cycle and I'll expect this board to become an endless moan about lack of goals. So ... no change there then, really! <laugh><ok>

  7. I understand where you are coming from and it isn't that I don't agree, of course we need goals. But, Rodgers has his ways and he is very stubborn, he won't change things to accommodate, he will continue to implement a system he and his coaching staff (plus the players from what we are led to understand) believe in and he will buy the players to fit in when he can.

As I said earlier, I reckon he will look for attacking players that can play out wide too. Basically, a player in the Theo Walcott / Daniel Sturridge mould, a player that will start as a wide player but as Suarez drops deep for the ball and drags the CB's out it leaves space for the two wide men to exploit. This is what Rodgers has been attempting to get Sterling to do from out wide and it work for his goal against Anzhi (I think????). I just hope to **** we don't get either of Walcott (spunk) or Sturridge (velcro boots)!!!!

You could be right. I really just hope we get in three (or more!) attacking players come January. Hopefully, BR saying our squad is thin indicates he probably will try to bring some more in. Fingers crossed, anyway.

  14. I think three would be too many, I don't want to see the progress of Sterling and Suso hampered. We have Suarez, Sterling, Suso, Borini, Assaidi and Downing for the front three spots, three more would be overkill IMO. I think we should aim to get two, both as a minimum and maximum <ok>
