Terrific stuff, let`s all feel a bit awkward about some of the drivel we spout. Keep it going, let`s have some more red faces.
A very good Article Aswan As mentioned by others, the comments made back then were well and truly accurate ..at the time ! Everton at home was a shocker indeed. Nobody has a crystal ball..except Laudrup of course!! I know ive been harsh on the team at times but that's what we do as fans, we call it as we see it. Think about Wigan the other week, how **** were we in the first 45mins? the slating the team had on the matchday thread was well deserved after the rubbish served up, 2nd half was totally different of course. Swansea has been a bit of a mixed bag within 90mins this season, which has been disappointing for many of us to see, hopefully we will have learnt from that next season
Would be nice to turn in a great 90min performance today. That would make our season, first half like WBA and second half as Man U/Wigan.
Thing is with the Swans when ever we expect a performance they tend to **** it up !!... A win would be great to cap off the greatest season in our History. We sometimes forget how far we have come and in the games where the team have rightly taken stick its because we as fans know the boys are capable of much better. The games where we have been well beaten(not many mind you) I don't think there were any arguments. The games where we have been poor have tended to be against opposition that is equal to what we have on the field and that is why they have had stick. Reading and Villa at home have been 2 great examples and those games to me were games where I thought the players thought they could cruise to 3pts. Liverpool away was a shambles but from a totally different perspective, it was disappointing that so many fringe players didn't put a shift in when it was a game where it meant a lot to Swans fans not to be humiliated. I never forgot what Laudrup said after that game, his words were that "I learnt a lot about some of the players today" or words similar. That defeat was probably a blessing anyway ,it focussed the minds and told us that some players arnt as good as we thought they were. Its no surprise that Bartley never really featured after that game, attitude was all wrong for me,we learn more after a defeat than a loss and now that Laudrup has a full season to look at things its no surprise that he is looking at up to 7 new players in the summer.
