Its my first Article on the not606 board, ive been sticking with 606, alas, it is going into the abyss with only 1 or 2 articles aday...so...i came back over here :)

We are currently in 8th however if we look down we could quite easily fall out of the top10 after the Man City game before our run in which looks good on paper, but inreality every team who we have to play has something to fight for and therefore all and could scupper our surge into 6th or 7th position.

I for one would love to see us finish in 6th place even though it probably not get us an european spot with the teams that are left in the draw (i will be praying for a city v united/arsenal final and hope they are not drawn v each other in the semis so the 6th spot is a european one)

Maybe and probably i am being too hopeful but if you dont have ambitions for your team, what is the point in being in the premier league. With the new uefa rulings on finance about to kick in, it means that the teams cannot catch the likes of Arsenal as you can only spend within your Revenue (a rule which fifa made because of man city IMO)

Anyway strayed off point, where do you think we will finish and where do you hope?

Welcome back mate, hope you stay around. I have been looking at the run ins for us and those around us, Liverpool, Bolton, Newcastle, Everton and it strange how we all have a similar problem in playing those at the bottom.

Trying to be as unbiased as I can, not easy, I think its Liverpool and Everton who provide our greatest challenge, if we can take 3 points of Liverpool we have a chance.

I think 8th is the lowest we will finish, dont see us making 6th so will go for 7th.

To be honest it worries me when people say we have an easy run in.
There are no easy games in the PL.

We have lost a lot of games when we were clearly the better team.
Underestimating the opposition is the worst thing we could do, the so called big four have and regretted it.
Now is the time for our team to step up to the mark and go for the jugular when we are playing well.
Bruce needs to imprint this on the lads, he also needs to step up himself tactically and with his substitutions.

We haven't exactly wiped the floor with these lower teams when we played them previously.

I still think a comfortable top ten finish is a good return for this season. Anything else would just be a bonus.
Lets walk before we run.

this is a strange debate for safc supporters to have, as we are used to debating on how many points we will get to get back up or how many points we need to stay up, everyone is trying to second guess at what will be at the end of a helluva season. now we are trying to establish ourselves as a top half team which is some feat considering we are placing ourselves in direct competition with evertons etc. that has to be our first step then try to break the mould like spurs, but thats a few years away yet, look at villa always there near enough but this year gone a bit wayward. so be it 6/7/8/9 its been a better season than we expected and i still see us gaining a lot more points, so as in all posts lately im sticking with 7th, now thats a great season.

Just fiel our strongest team, and the guys who play like thier life depended on it. So thats 8 bardos and a forward line.
