When I was working, I used to keep a notepad and pen in the bedside thingy so I could merely write stuff down and then go back to sleep. It was usually crap when re-read in the morning. Anyway, it was a mistake best corrected before anyone else did their forecasts…..
In fact, looking at the time , I can tell you what woke me. There are two households in the street that have organic milk delivered. Now this isn’t some little old chap on a near-silent electric float as we used to have once upon a time but a careless oik in a Transit van who thinks he’s doing practice starts for an F1 race. Neither as our dear old chap did, does he care how much he rattles the crates. I’m all for EV milk floats even if not cars.

Nothing as yet (10:20 on Saturday) from Musty. Leeds to beat Hull is our Top Pick: all 7 think Leeds will win. Mind you, not a single one of us predicted a win for QPR at Luton, but that's what happened as Luton extended an awful start. Sunderland to win at Portsmouth is the next largest majority vote. The two Sheffield teams feature in the battle ground games where there is no consensus between us. Leeds v Hull gets two jokers but the rest are spread around. SMH blew his on Luton, which fooled us all and Sensible has gone for the Super Match again. I've got mine on Sunderland to win, so let's hope the majority are right on that game. Joe's found himself a nice little gap for his goal time. Away has the early goal covered while there are two on 45 minutes.
I don’t know because I didn’t score him: as I said at the start, taking people out once we’ve started is something I wouldn’t really want to do and adding people is the same. If he’s here for the long-haul then fine, but it’s not something I’m going to do on a whim.
Sorry this is later than usual. I've spent the night trying to find out what strange combination of factors has led to me topping the match scores with 12 points. It probably won't happen again, so let's not worry. Leeds v Hull was a rich source of points for most of us, including a 6 for Plym. None of us seem to believe how bad Luton are having just come down from the EPL. No points were taken from that game and likewise Coventry v Norwich or Argyle's game, although forecasts for the latter probably contained at least as much hope as expectation. Plym and SMH shared the goal time with the only goal coming late in the second half. SMH held on to top spot but Plym overtook Sensible for second place. There was again no forecast from Musty.
Moving on, we're in the international break, so the next round doesn't kick off until Friday 13th September at 8pm. As usual, that runs through to Sunday. The obvious candidate for Super Match was probably Leeds v Burnley but we've just had Burnley, so I'm going instead for Oxford (9th, 6 points) v Stoke (11th, 6 points).
