There's no worry about the p I'm not worried about the players supporting Omer. When he reacted to barge by the Swansea player, our boys to a man jumped in to try and keep him out of trouble. I also wonder how the old Robinson would have reacted to being subbed when on a hat trick. Today he came off and hugged Omer. There's a different feeling from what I can see. As you say, some solid foundations being laid in a pressure situation.
Don't be such a spoilsport . Good win for your boys today Robbie We won as well you know. We beat Swansea 3-0. Yes that's right three nil. 3 THREE
Sorry Robbie, we usually only see him when we've lost so always nice to give a little back my missus isn't so happy though
Is the upturn in our defensive performances in some way attributable to Richard Shaw? He’d only been at the club a few days prior to the Oxford debacle but since then City have conceded just 4 in 5 games.
I think removing Chambers from centre half has had more of an effect. He was terrible at CB but yesterday as CDM was superb.
Just watching the highlights and a couple interviews on the city website. With Omer red carded, Tom Ramasut did the post match interviews. Very impressive. Given it was a derby and given the turmoil of the week, he spoke calmly and intelligently. If that's what he's like in training / team meetings, I'm sure he adds a lot of value.
I mentioned elsewhere that there have been a couple tweaks with player's positions / roles and we've seen a different side to them. Rino is another. Always hard working, but never a fans favourite. Now he's keeping Ng out of the side. Again, I said elsewhere, Riza now seems to understand the tools he has at his disposal and how best to use them, some of it out of necessity with injuries and suspensions. It was also noticeable yesterday that he didn't go all defensive once we were ahead. Still a long way to go, but his squad rotation and his tactics seem to be improving. He also has a lot of players coming back from injury, though O'Dowda could be missing a while and will be a loss. With games coming thick and fast, the squad will be important. Hopefully we'll start seeing a few more goals, close out a few more leads, pick up a few more points and get clear of the drop. Its getting congested from mid-table down. Glass is now half full.
Possibly, but along with the Chambers shift to the No.6 position, the inclusion of Rinomohta at RB has been instrumental. Ng has a certain flair and charisma but can be a bit of a loose cannon - he's not matched his better performances of last season. Rinomohta is solid and dependable - nothing much has come from the opposition down our right flank since he's been there and that's enabled Goutas and Daland to stay in the middle where they should be.
