I'm definitely not switched on clingo <laugh> but I think it depends on what the red card was given for. If it was for "violent conduct" it's usually an auto 3 match ban but that can be reduced or increased dependeent upon the review board.

I can't see a possible 3 match ban being increased for what Robbo did, but he could get a reduced "sentence" if it was deemed to be less of an issue - or even completely overturned if found to be an incorrect decision by the ref..

Either way the club have to decide what they are going to do otherwise he will be out tomorrow.

All very quiet for what happened 2 days ago.

According to the Beeb, City have lodged an appeal................

"While Cardiff's 1-1 draw against Coventry City came with plenty of drama of its own, with boss Omer Riza claiming that the fourth official's promotion to match referee for his first Championship game led to a harsh dismissal of striker Callum Robinson in the 47th minute.

The Bluebirds are appealing to overturn the red card decision so that Robinson may feature in the trip to the Riverside."

If the appeal is not heard today does that mean he can play tomorrow? I think similar happened with Cunha at Wolves so he played v Spurs.

The downside is that if the red is upheld he will miss the Jacks game.

Of course we may well have a new striker in by then <yikes>

You could well be right Bluey - it looks like Robbo could play today.

Clubs have until 5pm on the second business day following the incident. That would mean City didn't have to officially register the appeal until 5pm last night. That would have given no time to arrange "an independent regulatory commission" that's required to report to the FA.

Once an appeal is lodged, the red card is suspended until the commission reports it's findings. If the appeal is judged to be "frivolous," then and extra match suspension could be applied, but I doubt Robbo's appeal would be classified as that.

It would be good to get the decision overturned, but at least its bought us 10 days until the next league match.

Etete has travelled with the squad but El Ghazi hasn't. Davies still a few weeks off. Not sure what's up with Reindorff.

I wouldn’t be unhappy if he was never seen again after the Oxford bottling out incident. It may be his Bacuna moment - I don’t think he was ever picked again after his Bournemouth red card moment.
