I would say who'd have thought it... But, take a bow those of you who kept the faith and predicted that scoreline on the prediction league Shame about one or two other results as beating a side who hadn't lost at home since April (I think) deserved to lift us out of the bottom three. Ho hum, hopefully that serves as a confidence booster for the boys and we can now go on a bit of a decent run again
It’s got to be - 4 home games (aside from 2 away) in January coming up - a decent result v Cov on NYD and before our next league game a few new faces and who knows?
Desperately needed those 3 points. We'd have been well adrift without them. Somehow we need another win or two to stay in touch with the few teams above us.
Listen!!! I echo Sparkey's thoughts. Brizzle is doing wonderful reviews which I very much enjoy every week. I tend not to comment since I am not a footballing genius and can rarely add anything useful and I have run out of superlatives to describe how much I value and enjoy the whole post. I think I must simply repeat myself and at least comment. The effort Brizzle puts in to entertain and inform is great and I would hate to think that we take it for granted.
Thanks chaps. Must confess, given our recent trevails even I've found it hard to get "up" for writing the threads, however at the same time, once I do get into it, it's kind of therapeutic to a degree. I'll admit that occasionally it feels like a chore but I know how much you all appreciate it and certainly would never think any of you are or would take it all for granted - we're all far too polite and gentlemanly for that (yep, even Masky).
Right. Stop this nonsense and get busy on the Coventry thread. For goodness sake, what do we not pay you for?
someone has been to the VT school of management and motivation I see!! Sorry sir, I shall get right on it tomorrow, if you would be so kind as to grant me just a few hours sleep
Fat boys throwing pointy sticks at a bit of wall. Not for me at all regardless of where they come from.
I was with you all the way there BB. Until the last 3 words. Great work for every game. Please keep it going. It is the one piece of regular sanity on here.
Two away days for me this week and couldn't be more different. After Oxford I felt full of doom and gloom with relegation a certainty, now, as I write this, I am full of hope and certain we can stay up. I know one swallow doesn't make a summer but we have an opportunity now to pick up a few points if we continue to play and battle like we did today. That said, there is much wrong at the club with interests and emotions of individuals and groups coming to the fore and suspect these will continue to distract from the cause over the course of the second half of the season. Bluebirds
I thought Riza got the tactics spot on yesterday. Played what might have been our finishing eleven at the start and swapped it at the end when we needed to protect the lead it looked like we knew what to expect from the Hornets.
