Half hour gone. Left side is good but no width on the right. Meite playing up top and playing well but just missed a sitter with his head. Ugbo is no wide man. Tanner on second half is a no brainer. Why can't we score in the first half hour????
Only saw it from 30 mins and as OS said Meite missed a decent chance. Worryingly SW seemed to push on towards the break realising probably a goal will win it given City’s lack of drive and goal threat.
Why so deep against a team with 3 losses on the trot. That goal was coming - not sure why the manager didn’t bring on subs at 1-0?
Don't care if we should have won by more, if we made heavy weather of it or if we were poor in parts. The important thing is the W. Gives a bit of confidence to the players and gets the monkey off the back. A big win. Onwards and upwards.
Our luck was due to turn for the better at some point, hopefully this is just the start. Sounds like we probably edged it and deserved 3 points so we'll gladly take them and move on... Onwards and upwards. Blooooobirds!!
Hardly a convincing win against a team struggling more than us but as remote has pointed out, the win was the imperative. Please, please, please let it be the start of what will be a far better season than last. Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
Not sure how it sounded but from watching it, I can tell you that it was incredibly fortunate that we won. There was a period in the 2nd half where Wednesday were the only team on the pitch and were well worth a point. But agree in a must win match it doesn’t really matter how you get the 3 points
Both sides will likely be bottom 6. Huge 3 points which could be the difference between L1 and Championship.
That’s because ODowda missed a great chance to go 2 up and their manager made positive changes which enthused them whilst our negative manager seemed happy (like at Leeds) to sit back, and soak up pressure and not make changes himself. Best form of defence is attack.
Sat down to look at the highlights on the city website this morning. Last year theyd publish 'bite size', 2 or 3 mins, highlights at 15 mins and the full 90. No highlights so far this year, so just the goals or everything. A bit disappointing. The goals dont give you a feel for the game or player performance, but I dont want to watch the full 90 after the event.
There'll probalby be extended highlights of about 20 minutes posted on the official site later today - that's the usual sequence.
