Etete isn’t the future is he? One chance and blew it. I reckon even Ugbo would have scored that.

Can’t recall their keeper having a save to make.

    Saturday will be Groundhog Day.

I wish the road works planners would consult City's fixture list when planning their damned road works and road closures. Main route closed at Monmouth so went cross country to pick up the M5 at Gloucester, then on the way back miles on miles of road works on the M5. It's just so tiring. Made it up there by 7.15pm, but not home until gone 2.00am. Feel knackered this morning

Well we did try Robbie but for reasons that have and continue to be debated here, we're just not good enough at the moment.
    Sorry mate.
Nevermind, I'm sure your boys don't need us.
Anyway, things can change or even stay the same.
Is there a plan that isn't quite there yet or is it all a dead loss. I'm with the first option but even after 60+ years of supporting the Bluebirds, I m rarely right about anything.

Let's call it like it is.

Man for man they were better than us. In the middle, Swift and Mowatt bossed it - two players we could have got for nothing when they were out of contract if we'd had the ambition. The quality of Ramsey when he came on stuck out like a sore thumb and that's a sign of how generally poor we are in the middle of the park.

Up front we have no one effective to hold and layoff - Etete is a 2 metre beanpole, Meite is just a blunt instrument, and Diedhiou looks out of his depth.

At the back we've been OK, but for whatever reason, Collins has gone rapidly downhill defensively and very tentative going forward. The back line has missed Macca but that left side looks vulnerable. Collins is no left sided CB if the intention was to play a back 3 with NG and the double barrel guy as wingbacks.

Last but not least, Horvath could have saved both goals - IMO Alnwick would have. That may sound harsh but that clipped shot for their first went past him too easily and the second was a hopless halfway house decision.

If you come out off your line to take out a ground level crossfield pass you better make sure you can make it. Otherwise stay on your line and take the shot on. To come half way with no chance of reaching the ball and concede like that was criminal.

We deservedly lost the game through our own poor performance and with more of the same we'll get stuffed at Norwich as well.

Your final sentence sums up my feelings. Having put 4 past Watford Norwich will feel confident of repeating on Saturday.

Macca is a huge loss at the back. Despite our results he and Goutas work well together. I have only seen Phillips v Preston and felt he was a long way off the standard set by Macca.

We clearly need some bite and aggression in midfield. Siopis has to start plus Ralls if fit. Rambo must also be on the pitch from the first minute.

Up front Grant will return but who plays as main striker is a lottery. None of them have shown any form recently. Perhaps Diedhiou needs a couple more games to get into the swing of it but Etete and Meite are just not good enough.

We obviously need a fit O'Dowda to inject pace, enthusiasm and a football brain. I'm not sure we will see him again.

I was watching some snippets of goals on that Sky Sports programme last night and Giles and Philogene were in great form for Hull. Giles in particular is having a fantastic season. Oh to have those two back on our wings again. And someone to finish off their crosses.

Bulut has finally explained his thinking. 3 cb`s and 2 wing backs to stop them scoring, the 2 wing backs to get forward and provide the two large strikers who will score our goals. If we can`t play a long ball for the 2 strikers we pass it back so the goalie can kick it long for them. Unfortunately this did not stop them scoring and the wing backs failed to get forward to service the 2 strikers and they were static so could not run after any long balls. Anyway to round things off he says we must stop dreaming about play-offs and start thinking about survival like last season.

Is that Ugbo who scored 3 in the first 5 and came on and scored a late winner for us?
