Prediction League Season 2022-23

No shows from Musty or SMH unfortunately... they wisely don't come here to listen to us wittering on about Argyle. They haven't missed much as the scores are small.






FA Cup games to be predicted are as above. Two standard jokers and Argyle goal time please.

I've just started doing my FA Cup forecasts and immediately realised I don't know what I'm forecasting i.e. score at 90 mins, score at end of extra time if any, score after penalty shoot-outs, if any.

Clearly I should have specified so I checked back to see what Sensible did this time last year and the answer is he didn't specify either.

So I'm saying it's the core at end of normal play, i.e. INCLUDING extra time but EXCLUDING penalty shoot-outs. I believe that's what we've done before. To be honest, with the way my forecasts have been, it could be score next Tuesday week and it wouldn't make a difference!

 

Generally the score at 90 mins in past years.

But are we back to replays yet...or is it still stacked unfairly towards the home team.

For instance we could have taken Chelsea back to Home Park.....and got an additional pay out....and maybe a win....who knows ?

 

I'm not sure... replays are definitely going at the request (i.e. demand) of the Premier League so they'll have more time to jet off to the Far East to play lucrative exhibition matches against each other. And the Super League proposal has come out of its coma and is back in play BTW.

I'm not sure if replays are out this year or next but they are going.

We have normally done at the end of normal time and not included extra time notdistant. So up to 100 minutes in some cases........

We have got Wycombe in this lot so even 100 minutes may not be enough.

I'm sticking with the score after extra time but before penalties. I've got to say that other than Argyle, I won't be waiting on the scores with bated breath.

Now if anyone is going to tell me their forecast needs changing for an extra 30 minutes either way, I will be tremendously mystified and impressed by the implied sophistication of your methods!

Okay notDistant after extra time it is then.

It does mean that some matches will be decided at 90 minutes and others at 120 minutes which does seem an anomaly ?

 

Wot method? Don't insult me with suggesting I might have one. You don't get this bad at it with a method for god sake.
