Right so first Plym's allegation of boxing his goal time in with Lyndhurst's. Unfortunately the image of it didn't come through but I used a random number generator to select a random number between 0 and 90. Have a play yourself.

To the results. Away in BC continued his storming run, getting Argyle's score correct on a joker and getting the closest goal time. Musty got a point on his individualist forecast for Burton v Fleetwood. Bolton failed to do the business for anyone. Plym and SMH got the closest goal total bonus, both spot on with 8 goals.

 

A full card on Saturday, all 3pm kick-offs. Standard rules, one joker, first goal time in the Argyle game and Away in BC wins.

If BC got the Argyle score correct on a joker....that is 6pts alone....then if it is a double pts week.....that makes BC's score...12pts on the Argyle game alone....plus the Ipswich pts he had for a correct result doubled... that is another 2pts... equals 14pts doesn't it.

Using the same formula my total would be.....11pts.....and everyone elses would need adjusting.

If I'm wrong then please explain to me how you worked the scores out.

Also in the past if asked to guess a certain total the precedent has always been ...spot on gets the maxim pts and the nearest would get a lesser pts reward.....this time spot on was rewarded no better than being nearest which could have been a long way out.....just querying.

Right, on the first point I said: "Five points for the person(s) closest to the total number of goals scored in the four games.". If you are spot on, you are by definition "closest". As it was only 4 games and therefore a small number to forecast, that's enough if there isn't to be a risk of it totally swamping everything else.

As to the double points, you are right, I forgot to change the multiplier, which, for the avoidance of doubt, applies only to individual match predictions.

It's not about that is it....you just like being critical about anything I say or do....your becoming like a stuck gramaphone needle.....just going on and on.

There was no need for you to comment in a conversation between notDistant and myself....but you can't stop yourself can you.

 

STOP FECKIN MOANING ABOUT EVERYTHING. It wasn't just about double points it was about what points were for. When you did the scoring you decided on who got what each week. Mostly it was decided in the end by who got closest or spot on in league placing and wasn't decided by weekly results over 46 games. Did anyone complain? No. When I did it I decided in the same way. So, if you want to run the rules then you do the competition. Simples. If you want to have a private conversation then do it by PM rather than publicly. If you would rather do it in public then don't be surprised if somebody joins in. And stop playing the feckin victim it's very wearing. Other than that put me on ignore then you won't have to read it.
