Time for Harrison to shine...i think him and Keane might do ok actually. Keane was winning most of the flick ons, but no one near him to capitalise

3 players with the same injury in the last 2-3 months.. Unbelievable really, especially when you add in Dozzell to make 4 in a year and a half.

Plus long term injuries to Folami, Huws and Adayemi and you have to question what the footballing gods have against us? :bandit:

Although it would only have been 6 months if Hurst stayed in charge

Harsh on Freddie isn’t it - looked innocuous enough. I did something very similar to him yesterday years ago, played on final 10/15 not feeling great ( we only had 11 players.....) and was out for half a year. A friend had to drive me home after the game - as soon as I stopped playing the leg just totally ceased up.

Get well Freddy - that may well be the end of your pace......

A serious point here. Hurst was trying to bring in professional training methodology and sports science. I have no clue what Lambert's methods are, but Mick didn't go in for any of that - so may never have happened.

If three of your players suffer the same type of serious injury in such a short space of time you're either incredibly unlucky or something is wrong with the methodology.

While I never want to wish an injury on a player, and I hope Freddie makes a speedy recovery, this could be a blessing in disguise for us. Along with a half-fit Skuse lumbering around in the middle of the pitch, how Sears has been regularly getting in the starting eleven lately is beyond me. We looked a bit better after Sears came off against Norwich. His purple patch in December aside, Sears is an average player in my opinion. It's a damning indictment of our summer transfer business that he went from our fourth choice striker to one of the first names on the team sheet in the attacking area.

Yeah, well...we screwed that up as some of the experienced players didn't want to put in an extra shift!

It's ironic that the Budgies were whining about how we'd roughed them up, but it's one of our players who sustained a serious injury!

But shame, think he could have been class in League 1 for us with Judge in behind.

Shame we've never played to his strengths. His movement is amongst the best I've seen when in the striker role, played so well with Murphy in a 2 upfront and an intelligent player (Fraser) behind picking him out.

I really don't know when we haven't utilised him in a 2 upfront more especially now we have Judge behind.

Is this all real or some kind of sick joke?

Rubbish - He totally ignored all of the data he had at the club.

Chambers got copies made up, invited all the players around to look at the sports science side of it.

That's an unlucky injury, get well soon Freddie.

I agree with ptc, Sears hasn't been used in a two enough and as a result we haven't seen the best of him in a while.
