I appreciate that he's only 18, and we've seen from the likes of Lee Hodson and Ross Jenkins the danger of overplaying a young lad. But as I've said elsewhere, talent wise he is a first team player. Injury permitting, in 2012 I'd expect him to start roughly a third of games, come on in roughly a third of games, and miss roughly a third of games (obviously those periods would come in spells and are not exact).

I did see a tweet from him that said, "I can't sleep, my whole body hurts."

He is definitly one for the future, but push him too hard and fast and he could break down within a couple of years. SD has said since last nights game that he knows when it is the right time to play the youngsters. I think he probably knows more than we do and will play him now and again.

Spot on NNW - that is the way we have to progress our squad.

i've been saying all along that SD knows what he's doing with the youngsters, and i trust him to do what's right for them. Bringing them in gently now seems like a perfect plan to me, and Sean Murray showed he was up to the task for an hour. Very happy for him, but yep, his tweets let us know he's not yet ready for more...so gently does it. Good to see Whichelow get a few minutes and eventually others will follow i'm sure...when they're ready. Well done SD.

Him on the left, Yeates on the right. We might get a few decent balls in the box. It was amazing to see him play, and he certainly paid Dyche back in full. SD said there was no doubt in his mind that Muzza was ready to play. Could we be seeing some more juniors introduced from here on?
