Whilst we're all concentrating on the signing of Lacazette, hoping to sign Lemar and the possibly of Seri, the Kolasinac deal has gone under the radar a bit.

Watching him in pre-season it looks like we've bagged ourselves a really good player. He's strong, direct and good on the ball and looks like he's going to provide some really good service on our left flank. Plus he's only just turned 24 and has his best years ahead of him.

With Gibbs seemingly on his way out, there could be room in the team for Monreal and Kolasinac in a 3-4-3.

Have been very impressed with him looked a tank but actually gets forward really well, hoping his strength means he beds in quick. But been very impressed so far.

He's an absolute beast. Really impressed with Kolasinac so far (I know it's only pre season) But he looks like he's settled straight into this team and he looks like he's going to be well suited to the rigours of the PL.

at Cb, you have Kos, Per, Monreal, Holding, Mustafi, Gabriel all vying for 3 spots. Also LWB you have Monreal and Ox and Gibbs (likely to leave). He looks very good though but thats a lot of players for very few places and you know Wenger is very loyal to his stalwarts who have been around a while

If he's good enough he'll play. And so far he looks good enough. Gibbs is on his way out, so it's only really Monreal as a direct LB who he's competing with. Also at CB, I think Wenger will rotate between PL, FA cup and EL games. Kolasinac will get plenty of game time this season.

You forgot about Oxo playing LWB. He's done very well whenever he has played.

I also forgot about Chambers at CB

Chambers looks like he might be off too. Didn't forget about Ox, I just think there's enough games across all comps for Kolasinac to get games.

plenty of games agreed. But you have made out its only monreal he's competing with when this isnt true (unless wenger goes 4 at the back again)

It's only Monreal he's competing against in a LB position. But Kolasinac can play LB, CB, or LM. So there are options for him to play when we need to rotate Monreal, once of the CB's and Ox

but its not LB. It's LWB as Wenger has shown preference to the 3-4-3 <doh>

Yeah alright calm down ffs <laugh> I'm trying to talk to you about Kolasinac's versatility. He can play LB, LWB, LM or CB. So he will be able to get games as we rotate Monreal, Oxo, and the CB's.

I know the batty boy is going to get games. I was just questioning your though that he's nailed on. :P.

I'm not saying he's nailed on. I'm saying (for the 100th ****ing time :) ) that he looks good enough to be in contention for several positions as we rotate through the season. He looks like the the sort of player who makes a point of getting fully stuck in, so I would put him in your fantasy team, because I think he'll score you some points.
 
I think he is nailed in at LWB.

Ox has never been as strong down the left, he really cant cross very well with his weak foot and Monreal is going to be more of a LCB this year.

Nobody looks like they 'might be off'.(except maybe Sanchez)

We are literally terrible at selling the players we want to sell. Our squad is HUGE - the first thing we should have done is offload all the dead wood. Really terrible management here.

On Kolasinac - think he will immediatly be our first choice LWB and I think we will probably see Monreal playing on the left of the back three for the most part.

Probably best to wait until the transfer window has closed before making that judgement.
