Err sorry to put a dampner on it but isn't every manager looking to "strenghten his squad"?
Sean Dyche certainly has bags of cash to spend if Baz is to be believed. If the "I have increased the playing budget by 30% comment is true" then last year's £10m playing budget (incl Ellington, Sadler and Graham) will have to be £13m.
The players OUT column totals up to a reduction in wages of at least £2.5m. So it might make sense that the wagebill was £7.5m before the acquisitions of the 5 newbies. Those 5 will definitely have fitted into the reduction so far, with a comfortable margin IMO. As for transfer fees, Dyche has committed approx £500k + 2 Frees, and has at least £500k spare IMO.
So if Baz is true to his word, Dyche has plenty of funds to play with. Let's see what happens ......
