Blimey, I know things are grim and it's hard to see any positives just at the moment - but David Burns isn't half revelling in the misery. It's like talking yourself further into a recession. This time last year he decided we were more likely to be relegated than promoted. Today he's obsessed with the fact that all the players will be talking to their agents saying get me out of here. I think some of the players will be thinking we're back in the Premier League and we need to give it a go. I've supported City 50 years and yesterday was about as bad a day as I can remember. But it is just possible that in a month we'll have a new owner and a new manager. Don't see any choice but to hang in there and try to be positive about the club and players, just not the owner.
I can think of worse owners. the Allams dont interfere with the team selections, they havent locked any training ground gates (as far as Im aware) they have called a few precious ****s a few names. I havent seen the team perform with Phelan at the helm. it is too early to comment. but of course Id rather be wetting my knickers like you lot are than reserving judgement
