I am happy with our position so far and think we can get stronger with the current squad . The only downside so far for me, has been the overall style of play, I was hoping for a team playing more football, but with the players available, this may have been a pipe dream for now. Jack Ross is doing a great job with the squad available, and a tweak or two will see us home, one place higher will do it. Onwards and Upwards.

Tweet from Stewart Donald this morning: Morning @SunderlandAFC fans. Draws frustrating 4 all. We have 10 days to strengthen squad & we will! We r very much in the mix. Stick with us we r working 24/7 to get it right. Any frustration fine to aim at me - stick with manager & players. I hear ur concerns I’m on it ⚪️⚪️

He's got size and is put together proper - he doesn't appear to be slow or clumsy. When he had to close down some counterattacks down his flank, he seemed to struggle to keep up, but he did, keep up. Sunderland looked a much bigger side than the other guys - don't think I've ever seen that. We gave Scunthorpe a lot of chances, and they were relatively close to the goal, but not sure If Dunne was responsible, or if Baldwin would have faired better.

Thanks Hefty, he'll need a few games before we know if we've signed someone decent.
