Think you should worry about your own team SB. Losing 3-0 to Plymouth and a forthcoming cup KO from the Shots.

Yes, but Pompey have a tough set of fixtures themselves, my dear SB3! Tricky ties against the mighty Tranmere, Accrrington and Cheltenham. Will Pompey be able to hold on to mid-table safety?

You can mock Channon, but Accrrington Sttannley are a far better team since James "Tubby" Beattie departed as manager <party> :emoticon-0105-wink:

Morning Woops, Internet warrior is a strange name, unless that's the technical term for fans who go on other teams boards ? Sb3 excluded of course. I am very much a lover these days, like most who's path was unblemished. The fact that I am also loving sb3 struggling with real football talk again, due to two reasons lol tickles me even more. Having been on the boards for far to many years to remember, it's nice to have a little banter back. Happy Days

Dockyard Derby thread quote "when they play somebody of note I suspect the truth will out"

And here we are with the first of them and a 3 - 0 loss at home. I stand by my prediction that they can forget Europe because it ain't happening. Watch this space for the next top team they play. Everytime I hear people slag off the lower leagues I always think that at least it's competative where any of the clubs can win or get promoted unlike the premiership where only 4 clubs have any chance of winning it at best and normally it's between 3. The rest might as well p*ss in the wind.

Personally I think its better to start a season with the prospect of Europe - however remote - and in either comp than to not - if us getting pumped 3 blot at home gives you a feeling of absolution then happy days...

I think you miss the point. You might have thought you had a prospect of Europe at the start of the season and even think you have one now but in truth you ain't and it's deluded of you to have thought it in the first place. What I find hard to take is when supporters of anywhere are dismissive and condesending about clubs in lower positions than their own. No class and no respect which is something I've come to expect from certain club supporters. I would rather start the season with some prospect of doing well and being up there at the end of it than play in a league where my club is paid handsomely to make the numbers up for the ones who will contest it. You have to sell your soul for the sake of the real successful ones and TV which is the equivalent of football prostitution.

I don't get the "deluded of you in the first place" finishing 8th last season and having sold then bought well gave a feeling of optimism - as for talking down to other clubs not long ago we were in lower leagues to get high and mighty and condescending now as you say would lack class and respect something personally I have never done but understand your point - I seem to spend more time on the Pompey board than I do on my own......

I wouldn't call 1-0 a thrashing, although Forster saved them from another 3 or 4 nil I suppose.

I wonder if Barry Sanchez (where ever he is) will change his username?
