lets hope it goes better than it looks, so we get a good fight at the top. Scarbs has just done a good McLaren write up, may explain the "bobbinz gubbins"

I guess next one to look for is the RB, wonder if Newey has gone with a stepped nose?

Looks better head-on but that's the only good thing I can say. Can't decide which is worse, this or the Force India.

    Wow, fugly.
Quite a few of the predicted innovations seem to be missing off the car too. Really hope the stepped nose thing is a fad and goes away soon.

I do like how they've all blocked off their diffusers for the launch, and I bet there are several pieces on the cars that are 'fakes'. Do like a bit of cloak and daggers.

I must admit I'm surprised that Ferrari haven't gone down the McLaren route with the nose, which shows how naive I was in not being surprised at McLaren's interpretation. I don't understand why, of the four teams to launch so far, three of them have failed (IMO) to sculpt the new regulation into their designs. We know Ferrari are not the greatest innovators in the sport but I thought they'd have come up with a more elegant solution than this.

By which I mean: there seems now to be a distinct possibility that it's McLaren who have gone the wrong way, perhaps with too keen an angle in the dip to accommodate the 550mm nose.

    That nose. <wah>

Genuinely worried for Mclaren now that this is apparently the most aerodynamic solution.

I think Ferrari have missed a bit of a trick here. Given where the suspension is mounted they could've lowered the bulkhead to meet the nose a bit better. The driver is a significant chunk of balast (around 10% of the car) and they look as if they've got them seated higher than they need to be. I think the aerodynamic advantage of having the bulkhead so high is minimal given they could've lowered it and still kept the nose the same height. Force India and Caterham were restricted because they have the push rods mounted quite high, but Ferrari have invested quite a bit in developing a pull-rod front suspension haven't they? And they seem to be wasting any advantage they'd gain from this to me.

The front wing looks a bit plain too. Do they still have the flexi-wing?

Probably just a launch one so the sponsors can be clearly displayed. Doesn't look like the one they were using last season to me.

Flexi-wing? The Ferrari front wing was more like a propeller.
