buy the top strikers of teams that dont get promoted but end up 3rd or 4th in the championship or even a low bid for Nahki Wells he has scored 13 goals so far and almost 1 goal in 2 games i dont care what it costs we must get these players and a consistant scorer , abel hernandez has a 1 goal in 2-3 games if hull dont go up we should be in for him , also an old name that could come back and is consistant is ross mc cormack scored 16 goals this season we might get him for less than we sold him for also . defenders curtis davies if hull dont go up , also nedum onuoha QPR , http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/championship/top-scorers
You do realise that you can't just buy players don't you, they have to agree to come. Who in their right mind would leave a club fighting for promotion, or already in the PL would come to Leeds?
I admire your enthusiasm Sniffer, and whilst you may not care what it costs to bring a player to the club, as Ristac said, quality costs money, and therefore do you believe that Cellino would be prepared to go with the same attitude as yourself. After your original post and my reply, I had a look at a variety of premiership clubs, who had players who were squad players, not regular 1st team players, who had a vast amount of championship experience. I identified 6 players (oldest being 26, youngest being 21) that I felt would be a vast improvement on our playing squad. The total cost of their transfer fees was over £45 million, so that is approx. £7.5 million per player, before we even take into account wages, and that is based on transfer fees from 2 years ago. With the way transfer spending has gone , you are probably looking at another £10 million on top of the original £45 million previously spent Now whilst I would be absolutely jubilant if we went and spent that amount on those 6 players (providing that (1) the club could afford it or (2) the owner was prepared to fund this from their own pocket), it is very easy for all of us on here to say this player or that player should be signed, as it is not our money being used to purchase those players. It is Cellino you need to convince, not us, and in all honesty as I said in my original reply to you in this thread, I can't see Cellino spending £5 million on any one player, the best we can hope for would be someone along the lines of Chris Wood, someone who has shown a bit of potential but is no where near the finished article.
tell me about it, how I long for Championship Manager 2, when all it took to sign a player was to meet the transfer fee
who in thier right mind went to middlesbrough who finished 2013 , 2014 12th in championship but they went as they paid the right money , who the hell would go to sheff wed who finished 16th 2013, 2014 , finished 2015 in 13th but they paid the money NOW WHERE ARE THEY sheff wed 6th middlesbrough 3rd players go to a club if they see that club is serious about promotion by bringing in 4 or 5 quality players we are proving we are SERIOUS WHEN WE DO THIS !
