D. King has just said that he was not aware of the quality of players, which Spartak had signed. Now Scotland only has 1 club left in European football and the CL Group Stage at that, with only 3 opponents. That statement would be acceptable if it came from an English correspondent, who would have a considerable number of opponents to track, but King only has 3 European opponents to run his eye over. There are fans on forums who are far more aware of this than reporters in the Scottish media. We should surely be asking why our writers are so ignorant of European opposition and sometimes even clubs in our lower divisions, prior to this season, for some strange reason.

These reporters are paid considerable sums of money to do a professional job. Some may have the opinion that they are amateurs, but in this case we have clear evidence of one prominent reporter admitting that he knows nothing about one of three opponents of the only Scottish club left in Europe. This is verging on incompetence in his post. He should have researched this in detail and should not be shocked by such important information on a club, which is well known throughout Europe.

This type of ignorance is not something new either. I am sure we can all think of many examples of their parochial attitude to the worlds greates and best supported game.

How many of us would remain in post if we were to prove as useless in our own jobs?

Mark Hateley ,article today , the worst I've ever seen , the first part of the article is about Celtic not performing then compares Lennon with Mccoist having similar problems !!! Then he states Rangers would have 80 % possesion if he was their manager , has he not failed as a manager already at Hull .

You should probably read it again Harry. It isn't actually that bad; at least not as bad as his other offerings. He also said he'd "set a target" of 80% possession. If anyhting it's a bit of a beel about ra mighty ragers actually playng at their level now.

However, to conclude, he's a ****.

That's the nature of the beast though Harry. They hire him to appeal to Rangers fans and Murdo Mcleod for you lot. Both of them speak absolute gash, but Hately does seem to speak mince more consistently and annoy you lot more than McLeod does us.

I would have to concur with Thomas about the music though.
 
Does anyone know exactly where the remains of Rangers were actually laid to rest. Can we not have a ceremony
to verify that the actual Rangers are really dead. Should we not insist on the burning of their ashes to bring
closure to there existence.

The purpose of the thread is not to act as a survey of what people feel about what DK says. The purpose is to state that sports reporters with his high profile in Scotland should be far better informed about the subject and content of their job, for which they receive a considerable remuneration.

As to MY RADIO, I will without your permission or that of Venom, whose posts bear a strong resemblance to your own, listen to whatever I choose within the confines of MY HOME. I will also post whatever I feel is appropriate ON MY THREAD.

James McGrady just told a story on Sportsound about newspaper back pages naming him and a.n.other in line for the Under 21s. He was celebrating and phoning relatives, when his manager reminded him that he was in fact 23 years old.

Pundits are debating whether Scottish sports journos are the best in the world. Suggest they look at Italian prematch and postmatch articles, where the journos actually go into great detail about individual players pros and cons, tactics and strategies, weaknesses and strenghts and even the officials are analysed to the extent of 1 full page on their performance.

All we get is a shopping list of passes and moves and very often even these aren't accurate.
