I am a massive, massive fan of Rosdhu Queen and she is my idea of the 1,000 Guineas if she stays a mile. She very much reminds me of Sea The Stars in the sense that I strongly feel she keeps a lot to herself. I expect her to win tomorrow if staying the 7f and have backed her for the Guineas at 20s. If staying 7f I just don't see her getting beaten tomorrow.

My favourite horse Maarek reappears tomorrow but will not have my money on his back. I do think he's comfortably the best horse in the race but 5f isn't ideal and he'll definitely come on for the run. No reason why he can't continue his progression this season and I would love nothing more if he won a Group 1 by the end of the season.

Completely disagree that Maarek is the best horse in the 3.55. Leitir Moor ran Dawn Approach to 2.5lengths in the Dewhurst with the third that day, George Vancouver, winning the Breeders Cup Juvenile NTO. Maarek's form isn't close to that.

The Scottish National is the fifth biggest betting race in the UK apparently. I've not even looked at it.

Mareek is mud lark, and will probably win today with the going being soft. Not a betting proposition for me though on first run of the season, and back down to 5 furlongs:biggrin:

just a pointer-in the ayr bumper today webber's Bayleys Dream finished two lengths behind Regal Diamond at donny won by Purple Rain--we all saw what happened yesterday--he was only 5/1 at donny--so was not unfancied--the form looks strong --been backed into 8 from 14.......I shall be doing Bradley in the scots marathon-- a fresh horse with plenty of strong form ---at 16/1 seems a value bet.

Just two bets for me today in the Scottish Grand National. Very competitive and a massive puzzle to solve. The ground is drying out at Ayr so some of those that have been running well throughout the season I reckon will struggle on this faster ground. Nuts and Bolts is a very interesting runner. Very good record at the track (just like Merigo ) and an eye catching staying on in his last race at Cheltenham. I would be worried about the distance for him though.
I can t have Rival D'Estruval as he fell last time out and this race has an awful record for favourites.
I really like the look of Monsieur Cadou. He destroyed the field at Haydock, hasnt had too much racing this season and seems improving. Its Tom George's only runner at Ayr today and the stable are on fire. I have just backed him at 14/1 e/w GP 5 places.
I cant ignore Fill The Power either. All the attention may well be on Auroras Encore but Sue Smiths other runner isnt a forlorn hope and Dougie Costello booked. I think he will be all the better for the better ground and whilst he disappointed me a bit last time in the Midlands National that was on awful ground so Im gonna give him a chance in this. Small e/w saver at 20/1 GP 5 places

I've backed Educate as well, top write-up ROTO and fingers massively crossed. If this doesn't win or place I won't be having another bet until the Open meeting at Cheltenham.

yes, well done bob, the bowen's are in fine form , especially their bumper runners--so is it a case of regal diamond not being a 50/1 shot at donny, and Bayleys Dream will then confirm that --or something else....My only reservation is the form of Webber's stable--........

    1.50 Bangor - Leo Luna 9/4

Been given some info my friends dad own this horse was due to run in the juvenile hurdle at Aintree but had a dirty scope, has been and before Aintree been working very well at home, was initially planned out for the race at Aintree so was gutting when had to withdtaw, has shown some top juvenile and Moore usually doesn't send many runners to Bangor will have a massive chance and is class above the rest
