    You mis-spelled your surname - it doesn't have a C in it

    Cash is King <ok>

We beat the likes of Man Utd, Milan & qualified for the last 16 in the CL 4/5 years ago.

Celtic & Rangers are 2 of the biggest clubs in terms of fanbase, history etc but how can they continue to do so well when in that time Celtic have earned £5m from TV & Man Utd have earned £250m in those 5 yeears!

Scottish football deals too much in being reactive rather than proactive. There have been chances for Scottish football to develop but they never acted on it.

Even now when the majority of SPL fans are wanting a bigger league the SFA were voting on reducing the league to ten <doh>

Its a damn shame we have so little money compared to England, we were offered a good deal with sky, but turned it down for setanta (and history tells the rest) then the OF were all for a SPL tv channel, again outvoted and took a lesser deal from sky.. we cause our own problems there. The English bubble will burst, none of the teams performing in that league are making a profit but until it does we are going to have to deal with second rate players and poor european results unfortunately! England just offers players more at the moment!

There isn't much point expanding the league. Scottish division 1 teams are on a par with upper league 2 teams. Crawley town could beat most of them.

& they never will get better unless given the chance to play better teams. It will take time but its about the long term future of the game.

How many people mock the scottish league because they play each other 4 times, split the league after 33 games etc etc?

The problem is money. Sky won't pay these teams a fortune for their games, because of the lack in quality.

( I have no particular alleigance ! ) One reason why England offers so much is that the ' top ' few clubs are able to offer silly money to and for foreign players. This does little ( if anything at all ) for the development of English / English qualifying players - Division 1 was very different in 1966 with regards to home grown players. It is difficult to see any England team going beyond the quarter final stages any time soon.

I disagree. look at some of the talent coming through. You have Jack Wilshere, Daniel Sturridge, Danny welbeck etc.

So you lot have been saying for the last 20 years. Even if it did "burst", you'd still have a **** league with no money.

But - just not ENOUGH are given the chance to prove themselves before a club buys a foreign player - England have got young talent - but it usually stops at the last 16 or 8 in most tournaments.
