Celtic still had a 16,000 seater capacity stadium even with the building works, well within the 10,000 seater minimum that the SPL required. Celtic were told by the SFA that they had to play at Hampden by Jim Farry due to health and safety concerns over Celtic park. He was quoted as having said
"if you don't move to Hampden the only team you'll be playing next season is the Harlem Globetrotters".

Celtic got shafted, not favoured. This was part of the war between Farry and The Bunnet remember, why would Farry have done Celtic any favours?

 

The SFA did Celtic favours in the 90's, Aldo is back on the meths.

The nasty SFA also shafted CFC big style by charging them £500 000 for playing in a stadium that had 30, 000 more seats than Celtic park. So intead of playing in front of 16, 000 paying ticket prices they wete made to play in front of 40, 000+
