He didn't have a great season but he wasn't terrible either - I feel he was perhaps a bit under pressure after contributing so much to our promotion.

No need to replace him. Getting a new centre back, as I have said before, is the key issue - I don't think we will stay up without a quality partner for Williams.

I'll second that whole post Cherry Jack . Even if we get Caulker again , I'd still like to get a quality CB outright . Didn't think Sinclair was real good or real bad either , had twice as many assists as the previous season . Like Ivor said though , he teed up a few more than he probably should have , hope he stays .

Sincs must know he didnt have the type of season that makes players stand out from the crowd, i cant see many prem sides that intrested to be honest except maybe buck ! but if he stays he will realise 2 seasons in a row not shining could be bad news for him and so he may get his head right over the summer with Laudrups help when he`s seen enough dvd footage he may be able to see and sort why sincs game play came up a bit short last term ?

But then again its probably his veluptuous fun house of a mrs fault ! rationing may help ?

I think it's clear that Sinclair was one who struggled the most to settle into the game last season, difficult to follow up on his Championship season, in the same manner, but at the end of the day, he is one of our better players, who needs to re invent himself some what. Yes he was frustrating last season in the way he disappeared in games, but I think that now he has his first season under his belt, and with Laudrup in charge he'll come good, we did see flashes of his ability as the season closed, so let's hope he works on 'CROSSING THE BALL INTO THE BOX', instead of 'PASSING BACK TO TAYLOR', all the time! He'll sign for us, no problem...............<cheers>

He did disappoint last season, but I'm sure he will be ready to go under Laudrup this season, he would be a fool not to be playing under such a manager.

Would rather have Sinclair playing for us than against us, he was inconsistant at times last season but still was capable of changing a game with his undoubted skill. If anyone can inspire Scott to produce his best it should be Michael Laudrup, he will want to impress his new boss and hopefully learn a few new tricks from the past master.

I would consider Taylor's place to be safe, more than safe.

Sinclair just may not "get it" (yet) - ie maybe he doesnt have the intelligence and maturity to work it out on the pitch when it matters - whereas Dyer has that intelligence

Sinclair is a subject that vexes many.

The problem is the tendency amongst Jacks to "overstate" certain issues. For example, the general belief that Sinclair had a disappointing season last time around. Sorry, but eight goals and 4/5 assists is a return that many more experienced wingers in the Premier League would have been absolutely landed with. Sure, he drifted in and out of games sometimes, but disappointing? Er, no. Quite pleasing in actuality.

His biggest problem was the way he played in 2010/2011. People thought he'd do the same again, which was never going to happen and now he's getting blamed for their unrealistic expectations.

As for Dyer, I genuinely believe that he's one of the most technically gifted players at the club. His first touch is exquisite, and his ability to shift through the gears whilst beating some quality fullbacks was one of the undoubted highlights of last season. Was very pleasing to see him being more selfish in front of goal too. In a just world he'd be out in Ukraine/Poland now because I can't think of many English wingers who played better last year.

I wouldn't say Sinclair had a disappointing season, but he definitely struggled in many games to tackle the opposition right backs, hence why he went backwards to Taylor, contrast that with Dyer, and you can see the difference. I agree with you Lone on Dyer, great player with bags of ability, who has started to gain confidence at going for goal, he took the step up effortlessly as I expected him to!................. <ok>

I'm a bit worried for Taylor this season , was starting to get beat here & there late in the season . Hope I'm worried about nothing , just a bit uneasy .

I'm not basing his performances last season on anything other than what I say, and while I do agree with a lot of what you say I still think he's a very lazy player who doesn't run unless he's got the ball. He can use his pace for the team so much more effectively by making "selfless" runs into space to pull the fullback about but I honestly can't remember seeing him do it once! He needs to work harder.

Saw Ronaldo last night, and thought Scott could be like him-not as good granted, but if he played a more forward game<Ronaldo rarely goes back to defend> he would be a better player in the Prem.Taylor should concentrate more on his defensive game. Just my humble opinion.

Good player that lad. We had him on loan a few Seasons ago. Was a bit big-headed if memory serves me.

What you reckon for the Season boys? Steer clear of the SSS and you'll be grand.

Nice picture at top of your Board btw.
