Sky tyne & wear saying we are "readying" a £7m bid for the Swansea winger.

Its been reported that Mon wants a winger to alternate wings with JMac so who knows. Personally think Matt Phillips is the more realistic option but id be chuffed if we got Sinclair

    hmmm

cannot see it myself especially with that link I posted to the mush who named his source saying we wer in advanced stages with Matty Phillips.

Phillips will be cheaper and I personally think potentially he is the better player, think once he settles and gets a season or two under his belt he will start to get a canny few goals from the wing.

got a feeling we will bring in two wide players and I think it could be Phillips and Johnson

We need that type of player to get us out of the championship when we go down... As you said yourself.

Very decent player IMO. Not the best, but we could do a lot worse.

That said, we have wingers and crossers. It's finishers we need.

In very simple terms, I'd prefer Matty Phillips any day of the week.

He's quicker, he has more influence, he's a bigger goal threat, and he'd cost a lot less.

Phillips is tailor-made for us, Sinclair disappears a lot of the time (although he IS a good player, and would be a decent signing).

    My opinion is that:

Sinclair > Phillips > Jarvis - but they're all 'good' players who, if they blend in and perform like they can, are worth a place in a team from 5th-10th. Not relegation fodder in my view. I genuinely think you will sign one of these three but its a sideshow to whichever strikers you sign, as such get the cheapest and save the bucks for the goalscorers!!
