Was there anything in either challenge though? You cant blame SP for JB having glass knees.

Even taking into account you are trying to be silly, what's this about Palace spending on players?

They've just bought Dwight Gayle from Peterborough, a player who's only ever played 29 league football matches, for a fee that could rise to £8.5m.

They also unsuccessfully bid £4m for Ince.

For that money I'm astounded they didn't just go for Jordan Rhodes who is IMO a betterer player.

The 8.5m reports are actually well wide of the mark. They have paid £3m up front with another £1.5m potentially in the form of addons, so the full value of the transfer if £4.5m.

Still a lot for such an unproven player, he's 22 aswell so not as young as you'd think, but I must admit he does look a player.

Seem to recall james Milner doing a job on one of the city players too, maybe getting confused, but thought that was Bullard ????

I think it may have been Milner. I was at Villa park when Bullard started crying, my mate - a villa fan - was too. Found it quite amusing when villa park rose to give him a standing ovation.

    Gyppo Jim deserved it.

Grade A **** but would be a great signing - never gonna happen.

I'd guess he's big mates with Pig face, Lampard and the like

Surprised to read this - I thought he was one of the most respected figures in the game.

What don't you like about him?

    Never did like his face.

Plus I lump him in (rightly or wrongly) with the ****ish Terry, Pig Mask, Lampard et al.

Then it must come as a huge shock that the hardest material known to mankind - diamond - is also pure carbon.

    Yeah real soft!

I'd love to see you shatter a diamond with a hammer.

    Stupid bastard.

but if I called him DIAMOND KNEES I could understand, you lot are splitting hairs just to be ****s.
    Sorry for the confusion.
I should have said " You know that black stuff that gathers on the bottom of a pan, when you apply a yellow flame to it?"
"(well to get a yellow flame you make sure that there is a fresh oxygen source)"
"that black stuff is very brittle, it is carbon, it is more brittle than glass"
"well see that black stuff? that is what Scott Parker's knees are made of"

is that patronizing enough for you?
